10 Female Celebrities and Characters that have Inspired Me

1. Grace Helbig

 

Grace Helbig is a youtuber, from that she has written 2 books and been in multiple movies. Grace inspires me because she reminds me so much of myself in everything shes does. She loves fashion and beauty, but she makes talking about them really funny, which has been a large influence on things such as this blog.

2. Mindy Kailing

 


Mindy Kailing is my LITERAL QUEEN. She is so funny and sassy it is so inspiring to me. Besides the sassiness and humor, Mindy has inspired me because she is so dedicated to her career. She has been passionate about writing comedy since she was a little girl and she grew up and worked so hard for it and now she writes and stars in her own show.


3. Karlie Kloss

 

Karlie Kloss is a beautiful tall supermodel, but she is also such an inspiring person to so many young girls. She influenced me not only to feel comfortable and beautiful with myself, but she is so giving and open to learning. You can tell that in everything she does, she wants to learn more and it is so inspiring to see a model love things like technology and helping kids in need. She has done stuff like a trip to Haiti, a coding scholarship for girls interested in computer sciences and she has a healthy cookie sold at a bakery in NYC and all the profits go to feeding hungry children.

4. Katniss Everdeen

 

Even though Katniss is a fictional character from the Hunger Games series, she has taught me so much. She was just a teenager and she was put into such an unthinkable situation, but she did what she could to survive and stand up for what she believed would make a better tomorrow. The reason she has inspired me is because she is so smart. Also the way she cares about EVERYONE in her life. She was put in so many near death situations to protect the people she loved. AND LASTLY SHE IS SO BRAVE. *mockingjay whistle plays in background*


5. Jennifer Lawrence

 

While on the topic of Katniss Everdeen, it is only fair that I mention the actress that portrayed her character. I love Jennifer because she has NO filter at all. It is refreshing to see someone that talks about whatever she wants even though she is famous. I feel like famous people always restrict what they say. She is also incredibly wise and HILARIOUS.

6. Hermione Granger

 







I LOVE HERMIONE!!!! She is so smart and intelligent. I always picture Hermione as the nail painting emoji, because whenever someone does something wrong, Hermione is just like "HOLD UP LET ME DO IT" and then does it correctly and then she is all *nail paint emoji* Anyways I love Hermione. She is such a good example of a strong, intelligent and brave female character and I am glad she exists. Also Emma Watson is hella amazing also.

7. Blair Waldorf

 

The main thing Blair has influenced me on is her style. From the headbands to the classy style she holds herself with. A lot of people don't like Blair because they think she is rude and stuck up, ALL THOUGH those things may be true, she never lets anyone use her or betray her, and I think that is an important trait to have.

8. Michaela Deprince

 

Michaela is such an inspiring girl. She was an orphan from Sierra Leone. She was adopted and started dance. She doesn't have the typical build of a ballerina, but that didn't stop her from doing what she loved. That is why she is so inspiring to me, she had nothing going for her, but she loved something SO much that she wasn't going to let any of that get in the way. She is now a world class ballerina.

9. Loreli Gilmore

 

The reason Loreli has inspired me is because of the situation she was given, and the way she chose to handle it. She was a teen mom with a dream of opening an Inn. She raised her daughter and they were best friends and she built her own business all on her own without anyone's help. She is such an independent person and that is so inspiring to me.

10. TAYLOR SWIFT



Taylor is without a doubt the most influential person in my life. The way she carries herself and the way she cares SO MUCH about her music and fans makes me love her even more. I know that she has the biggest heart and she can't help but rub it off on everyone around her. She has learned so many life lessons and then she writes about them and gives them to us. She has helped me through so many times in my life, good and bad. I don't know what kind of a person I would be today if it wasn't for her, but I know that I definitely wouldn't be as confident and happy with myself as I am. I LOVE YOU @ TAYLOR SWIFT

2015 Favorites: Media

Hello this is the part of the year where I reflect on all the dumb things I did! But as a horrible beauty/fashion blogger I am going to take this chance to share with you my favorites products of the this year! Because lets be real, its 2015 we are all MATERIALISTIC AF 

Okay by T.V I don't mean sitting on the couch and watching the T.V, I mean watching netflix and these were my favorite things to binge watch on netflix in 2015

1. Gilmore Girls- I think I started watching this in 2014 and then finished in 2015 and then I re-watched it again in like october. Anyways I DISTINCTLY remember skipping school in like January to watch Gilmore Girls so there's that. 

2. Breaking Bad- This was a show I am surprised I liked. I love heartless shows like Gilmore Girls, Gossip Girl and Full House, but this show was so well done that even I can watch a show about murder and a meth lab.

3.Full House- OKAY YES I have watched this show since I was like 4 but I discovered this year that you can change your location using the Google Chrome extension Hola and so I got access to Canadian netflix and it had all of the Full House episodes so I watched all of those again this summer and I am so excited for the spin off coming to netflix in febuary! 

4. Parenthood- I loved this show! I watched the entire thing over spring break and it was such a cute show and I am proud of myself for finishing it in a week, I think that is a new record.

Okay I am not much of a movie watcher but these were my favorite movies that I saw in 2015

1. Mockingjay Part 2- HANDS DOWN FAVORITE MOVIE OF THE YEAR. I have been a fan of the hunger games since 2011 and to see the entire franchise come to an end was so hard for me. The characters in the films were people that I have grown to love as well as the actors I.E JENNIFER LAWRENCE MY MOTHER AND SAM CLAFLIN MY SON. I am trying to make it to March 8th 2016 aka the day it comes out on DVD. 

2. Love Rosie- Okay this came out in 2014 but I watched it in 2015 which means I can blog about it. After I saw mockingjay pt. 2 I went through a slight Sam Claflin phase and watched all of his movies. Love rosie is such an adorable romantic comedy and it has my favorite actors and takes place in my favorite cities and I JUST LOVE IT.

Okay I am going to try and not make this a post about how much I love Taylor Swift but lets be real, that is probably what this is going to turn out to be.

Favorite Albums of 2015

This album will always be my literal child.

This album is so amazing I can't even make a description about it without crying

3. Handwritten- Shawn Mendes

I went through a brief 2 week period in 2015 where I was lowkey in love with shawn mendes, and then I found out that I am older than him and stopped listening to his music, so there is that

4. Beauty Behind the Madness- The Weeknd

OKAY THIS IS A GOOD ALBUM. I even said "I think this album should be nominated for AOTY at the grammys,,,,,AND IT IS SO. 

Revival- Selena Gomez

THIS ALBUM IS SO AMAZING. I love it because it is the new selena and you can see all the hard work and emotion that she put into it and I AM PROUD OF HER AND THIS ALBUM. 

Made In the A.M- One Direction

I am that person that was always on the fence about 1D. BUT THIS ALBUM IS MY FAVORITE ALBUM RELEASED IN 2015 AND I AM TRASH

Now that I have talked about my favorite albums of 2015....I am going to share the top 10 songs that made me want to kill someone in 2015.

10. How Deep is Your Love- Calvin Harris 

I don't even necessarily hate this song but its a song and this is a hate list. 

9. Cool For the Summer- Demi Lovato

Honestly there was not a time I head this song that didn't make me want to kill someone. I think the reason I hate this song so much is because someone told me that it is better than wildest dreams. I remember hearing that comment and thinking WHAT KIND OF MIND ALTERING DRUG DOES ONE HAVE TO BE ON WHERE THEY THING THAT COOL FOR THE SUMMER IS A BETTER SONG THAN WILDEST DREAMS

6. DEAR FUTURE HUSBAND- IM SORRY BUT WHEN WAS IT A GOOD IDEA FOR A INFLUENTIAL FEMALE TO WRITE AND ENCOURAGE GIRLS TO ASPIRE TO HAVE A HUSBAND. PETETION TO SEND MEGHAN TRAINOR BACK TO NANTUCKET

5. Lips are moving- this song just sounds like every other one of her songs. It also sounds like a song that was rejected from hairspray the musical.

4. Fight Song- Rachel Platten

Me the first time I heard this song: WOW This is a great motivational song! I feel so good!!!

3. Honey I am Good- Andy Grammar

This song just reminds me of a lumberjack and I have no idea why. It just sounds like a song Lumberjacks would listen to as they are practicing deforestation

2. Cheerleader- OMI

I LITERALLY DONT KNOW WHY BUT I HATE THIS SONG WITH SUCH A BURNING PASSION. LIKE I HATE IT SO MUCH I NEVER LIKED IT IM GOING TO SCREAM JUST WRITING THIS POST JFDKASC

1. Watch Me- Silento

The epidemic. The plague that struck the world of the white people in 2015, The whip. 

Standing at a party, feeling antsy, everyone is dancing in a circle and you are standing there in your matching nike outfit that your mom bought you if you promised to go to bed before midnight. You feel cool, you are on top to the world. Only one thing can make your white boy mentality feel more powerful. You enter the center of the dance circle. You then perform the whip. That is the tale of 2015.

2015 Favorites: Beauty

Hello this is the part of the year where I reflect on all the dumb things I did! But as a horrible beauty/fashion blogger I am going to take this chance to share with you my favorites products of the this year! Because lets be real, its 2015 we are all MATERIALISTIC AF 

Okay 2015 was the year I FINALLY came to terms with how ugly I am and so I did some exploring with beauty products to TRY and fix that

1. My favorite Lipstick of 2015 was the Tarte Amazonian Lip Butter in Tulip.(x) I loved this product because it looked so natural on and it was a great color AND YEA this was a nice lipstick,

2. Another favorite was Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara  (x) Being Indian comes with its blessings and curses, but long eyelashes is one of the blessings, and this mascara was like a genetically modified fruit to a farmer. It was like my eye lashes were being put on steroids. WHICH THEY BASICALLY WERE BC THIS STUFF MADE MY EYELASHES TOUCH MY EYE BROWS. SERIOUSLY I NEED TO GOOGLE WHAT IS IN THIS STUFF BC IM 70% THIS MASCARA COULD BE ILLEGAL

3. My third favorite beauty product of 2015 was the First Aid Beauty Triple Eye Remedy (x) The many sleepless nights I had during 2015 of doing absolutly nothing were cured by this product. If I pulled an all nighter watching all the hunger games movies and looked like I was on the verge of dying the next day, I would just dab some of this on my eye and it made it look like I was only kind of dying! 

4. I also loved the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in bronze (x) I wish I had some cool reason why I liked this product, but really the only reason I bought it was because Taylor Swift uses it, and do I really need any further explanation. But to be fair this is a really nice product for people like me who ARE LAZY AS HECK and want a bronzer, blush, highlight, eye shadow pallete ALL IN ONE PRODUCT. 

5. OKAY I know I am probably the last person anyone should ask for advice on hair because lets be real, mine looks like a 5 year old that won't let their mom brush their hair. Maybe 2016 will be the year I learn to control the mess that lives on top of my head. WAIT HOLD UP I need to tell a traumatic hair story that happened to me in 2015, The Monday after prom, I was so tired of having long hair so I decided to cut it all off. ON IMPULSE. NEVER EVER LET ME DO THAT EVER AGAIN, People like Taylor swift and Jennifer Lawrence can cut their hair really short, but THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT I CAN. And that is one of the most valuable lessons I learned in 2015 when I had people ask me if I was a lesbian for 4/12 months. Anyways I was going to tell you the products I like to use on my hair but I am deeply regretting talking about hair and maybe this will be a conversation we can have in 2016.
